This season the Club won the Clarke-White competition run by the Walthamstow & District Bowling Association for the 9th time. The team is managed by Barry Bush from his chair in the Chuck Pullen Lounge and Neil Harvey. The format is one full rink at home and one full rink away. The successful team comprised Paul Elliott, Derrick Orr, Keith Vaughan, Roy Sweetman, Neil Harvey, Paul Weiss, Steve Minns, Ron Hearse, Steve Ratty and John Gray. The team is looking forward to defending its crown in 2026.
The Club also won the Foresters’ League competition run by Barry Holbrook from Silverthorn BC. The team is run by Paul Weiss and he juggled the players successfully to produce 4 triples team for each match (2 playing at home and 2 playing away) that won every match this season. Congratulations to all those who played in this competition and Paul is already planning his training sessions for the defence in 2026.
The Club entered 2 teams in the Walthamstow & District Thursday 4s leagues. The B Team, run by Paul Elliott, won the Division 3 league and the A Team, run by Steve Minns, came a respectable 3rd in Division 4 having resurrected this team after not competing for a couple of years. Many thanks to all the members of both squads who supported the Team Captains and played in the large number of matches over the course of the season.
