Roy Orbison did us Proud on a Saturday Evening back in May entertaining members and guests and giving them something to remember.
It was of course David Collison who provided us with songs from the legendary Roy Orbison and volunteered to sing request songs suggested by the audience.
It took a little while for people to ‘get into the mood’ but at the end of the evening it was buzzing and it was apparent that everyone enjoyed themselves.
David had loads of equipment which enabled him to be very realistic and provide fantastic backing to the songs that he sung which took some time to set up and to take down.
A special thank you should go to David Jenkins who manned the bar all night with the aid of a number of helpers – not easy when everyone else was upstairs enjoying themselves – thanks Dave.
And of course, a big thank you to Janet and her social committee for organising everything – evenings like this help the Club considerably.
